Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of the Resolve platform. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to all users.
1. Intended Use
Resolve is designed to help teams make structured, informed business decisions asynchronously. The AI features provide decision support by generating briefs and summarizing stakeholder input. All AI outputs are intended as supplementary information to assist human decision-making.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
2.1 Illegal or Harmful Activities
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation.
- Facilitate fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes.
- Infringe upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person.
- Generate, store, or distribute illegal content.
2.2 AI-Specific Restrictions
- No sole reliance for high-stakes decisions: Do not use AI-generated content as the sole basis for decisions that have legal, financial, medical, or employment consequences for individuals. Human review and oversight is required.
- No discriminatory decision-making: Do not input protected-class data (race, gender, religion, disability, age, etc.) to derive or support discriminatory outcomes.
- No misrepresentation: Do not present AI-generated content as human-authored analysis to stakeholders or third parties who are not aware AI was used.
- No circumvention: Do not attempt to circumvent AI safety measures, content filters, or usage limits.
- No reverse engineering: Do not attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the underlying AI models or algorithms.
2.3 Platform Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' experience.
- Exceed rate limits or abuse API access beyond the scope of your plan.
- Share accounts, credentials, or API keys with unauthorized parties.
- Automated scraping, bulk data extraction, or programmatic abuse of the Service beyond the provided API.
- Upload malware, viruses, or any other malicious content.
2.4 Surveillance and Monitoring
- Use the Service to monitor or track individuals without their knowledge and explicit consent.
- Use decision data to evaluate, score, or rank individual employee performance without transparent disclosure to those employees.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all data you input into the Service.
- You must independently verify AI-generated recommendations before acting on them.
- You must ensure you have the right to process any personal data submitted to the Service and have obtained necessary consents.
- You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms when using integrations.
- You must report any suspected security vulnerabilities or policy violations to security@resolve.app.
4. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning notification and request to cease the violating activity.
- Temporary suspension of your account.
- Permanent termination of your account.
- Reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities where required by law.
We reserve the right to investigate and take enforcement action at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to monitor content but reserve the right to do so.
5. Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated for an alleged AUP violation, you may appeal by contacting legal@resolve.app within 30 days. We will review appeals in good faith and respond within 15 business days.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
